Antonia Ogden Meade - RGN, MSc, Graduate Early Years Professional.
Nursery Owner/ Business Manager

Antonia Ogden-Meade RGN, MSc, Early Years Professional Antonia Ogden-Meade has worked in Quality and Performance for over 20 years. She started her career in the NHS as a Nurse and worked in Children's health services for a number of years before going into performance and operational management. Having been an Executive Director of Performance and Operations for 4 years, Antonia left the NHS to set up her own Nursery in 2006 and has since expanded her successful business to 6  settings (2 of which are 'Outstanding' nurseries, the newest achieving a 'Good' at its registration inspection). Ashington Children's Nursery was her 4th nursery. Antonia's strength is linking the national requirements with the individual needs of the children in the nursery community (child centric care) - making sure it is the children who benefit from receiving the best care possible. Antonia has been nominated for a lifetime acheivement award with Nursery Management Today and sucessful in being a finalist for her work as a Senior Nurse in the NHS, Charitable work for disabled children, Ofsted Inspector and of course the nursery portfolio.  We await the results in November 2016 at an awards ceremony in London.

Our team is not just based in the Nursery. Our partner nurseries are:
A Step Ahead at Lower Beeding - http://www.astepaheadnursery.co.uk

The children move between the rooms based on their stages of development, and in some instances a child can transition between two rooms in readiness for the move to a new room.  If a child needs more of a challenge as currently working above their expected level of development, then they will visit the other rooms to join in specific activities which will challenge them in the area that they thrive.  We have found that this approach also supports our behaviour policy as the children remain engaged whilst challenged.
